Please join me in a HEART HEALTH CHALLENGE by adding these healthy foods to your diet; and eliminating foods that can possibly have a negative effect on the heart.  Let’s try this for the next TWO WEEKS.  Who knows? it may just become a habit.  If you are to any of these foods do not eat them.

 

 

 

HEART HEALTHY FOODS:

  • A palm FULL OF ALMONDS  
                       
  • A palm FULL OF WALNUTS
  • OATMEAL    
  • FLAX SEED (GROUND)
  • TOFU
  • BROWN RICE
  • SOY OR ALMOND MILK
  • ASPARAGUS
  • ORANGES
  • CANTALOPE

 

  • BLUEBERRIES
  • Papaya
  • SPINACH
  • TOMATOES
  • BROCCOLI
  • SWEET POTATOES
  • RED BELL PEPPER
  • ACON SQUASH
  • CARROTS 

OILS: OLIVE OIL, EXTRA VIRGIN COLD PRESS

SUGARY BEVERAGE

BAKED GOODS, CAKES, PIES, PASTERIES

ARTIFICAL SWEATNERS, JUICES

WHITE BREAD

LOADED BAKED POTATES

DELIVERED PIZZA

DEEP FRIED OR FRIED CHICKEN

THEATER POPCORN

FETTUCCINE ALFREDA, PASTA, IF YOU MUST HAVE PASTA, EAT WHOLE WHEAT PASTA

FRENCH FRIES

POTATO CHIPS AND FRIED SNACK FOODS

FAST FOOD BURGERS

SUGARY CEREAL

PROCESSED AND CURED MEATS

RED MEAT, BACON SAUSAGE

MOST SALAD DRESSINGS

ICE CREAM

 

 

Try Sherbet in place of ice cream.  It does however have sugar.

 

Try to avoid dessert, but if you must have a dessert, google heart healthy dessert on the internet  see below.

 

These are just some of the foods that may help keep the heart strong and foods that may possibly lead to an unhealthy heart.  This will help you with a food guide.

 

Those who stick with the CHALLENGE for the  NEXT TWO WEEKS will receive a small gift.  If your health is able,  add some exercise or walking to the challenge.  Let’s MOVE at least 3-4 times per week.
